Pretzel Chair by George Nelson
Pretzel Chair by George Nelson
In 1952, George Nelson designed what was initially simply called a “laminated chair”, made of moulded plywood.
The chair quickly lost its nickname “Pretzel Chair”, which it still holds today, due to the elegant and daring curve of the backrest in the version with armrests. The filigree appearance is due to the tapering legs and backrest.
Antibeige has a chair from the first edition – it’s just a click away.
