Our LIEBLING OF THE DAY it is for all those who bravely face autumn in an almost otherworldly manner. It’s the Martian Aerogel Jacket by our friends from Vollebak. Lightweight and highly-durable, the Jacket is tested to reach the extremes of -20°C, whilst weighing only 700 grams.

Functionality is a core attribute, the jacket features two zipped chest pockets and two side pockets with storm flaps for easy access, all housed within watertight taped seams. Aerogel is the world’s lightest solid and an astonishingly effective insulator, which is exactly why NASA has used it to line spacesuits. It’s almost impossible for cold air to pass through it as its individual nanopores are 10,000 times thinner than a human hair.
