Blue Note Records – you can never have enough of them. Whenever I see the cover of ‚Royal Flush‘, my first trip to New York immediately comes to mind: In SoHo, in front of a basketball court, an elderly friendly gentleman had opened his trunk full of Jazz albums, mostly Blue Notes.

At pre-Discogs prices I was able to secure a handful of well-preserved records, including this fantastic 1961 session full of elegance and finesse with Mr. Byrd as leader, featuring this very special New York Jazz spirit.
